Brooklyn, NY – Police and family members are seeking the public’s help in locating Sandra Hall, an 80-year-old former member of the famed vocal group The Platters, who has been missing since Friday afternoon.

    Last Known Whereabouts

Hall was last seen around 4 p.m. Friday near the Atlantic Terminal Mall, close to Barclays Center in Brooklyn. According to her family, she was seen boarding a subway at Atlantic Avenue.

Hall is described as 5-foot-3, and her family notes that she has dementia, which can cause confusion or disorientation. At the time she went missing, she was wearing gray pants, white sneakers, and a pink shirt over a white long-sleeve shirt.

    Family Statement

Her daughter, Star DaSilva, expressed concern for her mother:

“Sandra is more than just our mother; she is a warm, vibrant woman who once brought joy to audiences as part of The Platters. We just want to bring her home safely.”

    Background

Sandra Hall, who performed under the stage name Sandra Dawn, joined The Platters in 1965. While she was not part of the group’s original lineup, she contributed to the enduring legacy of the band, famous for hits like “The Great Pretender” and “Only You.”

    How to Help

Anyone with information about Hall’s whereabouts is urged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit tips online via the CrimeStoppers website.

Authorities and family are asking anyone in the Brooklyn area to remain vigilant and report any sightings immediately.
