The Lee’s Summit community mourns the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Dayton Guinnee, a beloved and deeply cherished member of the community. His vibrant spirit, unwavering kindness, and love for family and friends touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Dayton’s warmth, generosity, and quiet strength leave a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Life of Compassion and Connection

Dayton was a man of strong values and deep compassion, always ready to show up for others. Whether through his devotion to family, friendships, or service to the community, he made a lasting impact through both his words and actions. His infectious smile, sense of humor, and genuine heart drew people to him, creating meaningful connections wherever he went.

    Gratitude and Community Support

On behalf of Jami, Gunnar, Dayton, and the entire Guinnee family, heartfelt thanks are extended for the outpouring of love, prayers, food, flowers, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness has provided immense comfort as the family navigates this unimaginable loss.

    Honoring Dayton’s Life

    To celebrate Dayton’s life:

    • Public Visitation: Wednesday, June 10th, 2020, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Attendance is limited to 100 people at a time.

    • Memorial Service: Thursday, June 11th, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Berry Acres, 6825 MO-131, Odessa, MO. Maximum capacity: 400 people. Early arrival and adherence to safety guidelines are encouraged.

This gathering will be a time to grieve together, share stories, laughter, tears, and treasured memories of a man who gave so much to everyone around him. Dayton’s life was full of moments that mattered—family dinners, coaching youth sports, late-night conversations, and quiet acts of kindness that often went unnoticed, but never unappreciated.

    A Lasting Legacy

Though his time with us was far too short, Dayton’s spirit will continue to live on through the love he shared, the people he inspired, and the legacy he leaves behind. His presence enriched our lives, and his memory will forever guide and inspire all who knew him. The Guinnee family thanks everyone for standing with them and helping carry Dayton’s memory forward with love and grace.

Rest in peace, Dayton Guinnee. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
