Lori Vallow, the Idaho woman convicted of murdering two of her children, recently sent a message to her only surviving son, Colby Ryan. This message was conveyed through a journalist at a panel during CrimeCon on September 5.
During the event, which was hosted by Nate Eaton, Vallow, who is currently imprisoned, expressed her love for Colby. Eaton shared her message with the audience, stating, “If you talk to Colby, please tell him that ‘I love you very much, no matter what.’”
Vallow also included a reference to a Bible verse, Matthew 25, which discusses the separation of good and evil. Eaton explained the verse to the audience, noting that Colby interpreted this as his mother attempting to portray herself as godly. “It’s her trying to talk about the wicked and the good being sifted apart. So it’s her way of trying to say she is still good and, basically, godly,” Colby commented.
When asked if he wished to speak with his mother again, Colby firmly replied, “No.”
Background on Lori Vallow’s Conviction
Lori Vallow was convicted in 2023 for the murders of her two children, 7-year-old Joshua “J.J.” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Her former husband, Chad Daybell, was also convicted in connection with the deaths of the children.
Vallow and Daybell’s troubling beliefs, including the claim that their children were “zombies” and possessed by dark spirits, led them to believe they were on a mission to eradicate these entities before the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Additional Convictions
In addition to the murders of her children, Vallow was found guilty of conspiracy to murder Daybell’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell, and her niece’s ex-husband in 2019. These additional charges further cemented Vallow’s role in a series of tragic events. She is currently serving multiple life sentences for her crimes.
The case continues to shock and disturb many, with the complex web of beliefs and actions surrounding Vallow and Daybell continuing to unfold.
