It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew McAndrews, a beloved son, friend, colleague, and teammate. Matthew, a resident of Chicago, Illinois, and a valued member of The Siegfried Group, LLP, passed away unexpectedly, leaving a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. Originally from North Billerica, Massachusetts, Matthew carried with him a strong sense of character, a vibrant spirit, and a passion for life that touched everyone around him.

    What Happened

Matthew McAndrews, 30, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2025. His sudden loss has left family, friends, and colleagues devastated. As a member of The Siegfried Group, LLP, Matthew’s work was marked by professionalism and dedication. His commitment to excellence and thoughtful approach to every task made him a respected figure in the workplace. His passing has been felt deeply by all who had the privilege of working with him and knowing him.

    Reactions

Matthew’s colleagues remember him not only for his professional excellence but also for his humility, kindness, and quiet leadership. Known for his ability to uplift those around him, Matthew was a supportive and dedicated team player. His leadership skills were evident in the way he worked with others, always offering guidance and support without seeking recognition.

Outside of work, Matthew was a passionate softball player. His love for the sport and his competitive spirit created strong bonds of friendship with teammates, both in Massachusetts and Chicago. He was known for his sportsmanship, his positive attitude, and the way he always cheered on his team, regardless of the score. The softball community mourns the loss of a true athlete and friend, someone who embodied the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie.

    What’s Next

A memorial service to celebrate Matthew’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at The Siegfried Group, LLP office, with details to be announced by the family. Friends, family, colleagues, and teammates are invited to come together to honor Matthew’s life, share stories, and reflect on the positive impact he had on those around him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity in Matthew’s honor, supporting the community causes he cared deeply about, especially those focused on youth sports and mentorship.

This is a developing story. We will update this article as more information becomes available.

Matthew’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His kindness, loyalty, and passion for life have left an indelible mark, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he touched.

Rest in peace, Matthew. You will never be forgotten.
