KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) — Authorities are searching for 18-year-old Key’Len Cherry, who is wanted for attempted first-degree murder following a shooting at a McDonald’s restaurant in North Knoxville on Tuesday evening.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on September 23, 2025, officers responded to reports of shots fired at the McDonald’s located at 5055 N. Broadway. Upon arrival, officers learned that Cherry had been involved in an altercation with another man while both were working at the restaurant.
What Happened:
The altercation escalated when Cherry pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at the victim. Miraculously, no one was injured by the gunfire. Cherry fled the scene before officers could arrive, and the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) immediately launched a search for him.
