A massive sinkhole has opened up in front of Vajira Hospital on Samsen Road, Bangkok, swallowing cars, electric poles, and cutting off critical infrastructure. The collapse has caused widespread disruption, but authorities have confirmed that no injuries have been reported as of now.

    What Happened

The sinkhole, spanning an incredible 50 metres, is believed to have been triggered by several factors. Authorities suggest that the construction of an underground MRT tunnel, burst water pipes, and heavy rainfall likely led to the sudden collapse. As a result, parts of Vajira Hospital and the nearby police station were evacuated to ensure safety.

    What Happens Next

Emergency crews are working tirelessly to assess the situation and mitigate further damage. Traffic in the area has been severely impacted, and the public is urged to stay away from the affected zone. Authorities are focused on preventing further disruptions and ensuring that infrastructure in the area remains safe.

Let’s share this news widely so that people stay alert and authorities can act quickly to resolve this situation.
