She will be remembered for her deep compassion, academic achievements, and dedication to helping those in need.

    Early Life and Education

Born on August 17, 1977, Stephanie was a proud graduate of Lakeside High School in Augusta, Georgia, where she was recognized as Miss Lakeside and Homecoming Queen. A talented athlete, she excelled in soccer, showcasing both leadership and teamwork from an early age. Stephanie later attended the College of Charleston, where she graduated with honors in 1999. Her passion for service was evident even in her early years, as she worked with children at the historic Jenkins Orphanage before traveling to India to volunteer at Mother Teresa’s orphanage. This marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to global humanitarian work.

Lifelong Dedication to Service and Learning

After her time in India, Stephanie moved to Manhattan, New York, where she spent 17 years. During her time there, she earned a Master of Arts degree from New York University (NYU) and continued her mission of helping others. She later returned to Augusta, where she worked at the Medical College of Georgia in the science and physics department. There, she was deeply valued by students and staff alike for her intellectual curiosity, generosity, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Stephanie’s contributions to education and service extended far beyond her professional life. She was known for her volunteer work, which ranged from assisting local charities to her international efforts abroad. Her commitment to helping children and underserved communities was central to her identity and legacy.

A Lasting Legacy of Compassion and Generosity

Stephanie passed away in 2025 due to complications from an illness she contracted during her time working in India. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love for learning, and an unwavering commitment to humanitarian efforts that touched lives around the world.

Her family, friends, and colleagues will remember her not only for her academic and professional accomplishments but for her selfless dedication to helping others. Stephanie’s impact continues to inspire those who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched through her work, both locally and globally.
