Philadelphia, PA – October 9, 2025: John J. “Jake” Flanagan, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 7, 2025, leaving a profound impact on his family, friends, and the Roxborough community. Born to Jeanmarie (nee Larkin) and the late Dennis Flanagan, Jake was a cherished figure whose love for his family and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who knew him.

    What Happened:

Jake’s passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his loved ones. He was a source of strength and joy to everyone around him, and his loss is felt by his family, friends, and the community. While his presence will be greatly missed, his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to inspire those who carry his memory.

Who Was John J. “Jake” Flanagan:

Jake will be remembered for his warm heart, his ability to make others smile, and the deep love he shared with his family and friends. As a devoted brother and loving uncle, Jake’s bond with his siblings—Mary (Taylor), Dennis (Clare), Michael (Ali), and Liam (Kim)—and his nephew, Kieran, was unshakable. His family described him as someone whose presence brought happiness and camaraderie into every moment, making those around him feel valued and loved.

Jake’s relationships with his loved ones were marked by his generosity, his kindness, and his joyful spirit. His girlfriend, Ingrid “Mackie” Fitzgerald, was an integral part of his life, and his passing leaves a profound loss for both her and the entire Flanagan family.

    What Happens Next:

The Flanagan family appreciates the outpouring of support and love from friends and community members during this difficult time. While the family has requested privacy, they are deeply grateful for the kindness shown to them as they mourn their loss.
