Atlanta, Georgia — Police have arrested Randarrius Jackson, 27, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the Renaissance Hotel on September 29, 2025. Jackson allegedly lured the victim through a dating app before committing the crime.

    What Happened

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at the Renaissance Hotel, 1 Hartsfield Center Parkway. The victim told police he had met Jackson through the dating site Mega Personal and had arranged for him to come to his hotel room via Uber.

Once inside, the victim described how Jackson pulled out a gun after pretending to adjust the thermostat. Jackson allegedly forced the victim to transfer funds using Cash App and Apple Pay, and to hand over his debit card and PIN. He also disabled the hotel phone and threatened the victim not to leave the room.

After the suspect left, the victim hid in the hotel kitchen until officers arrived. Hotel security footage captured the suspect in the lobby, which helped police track him to Lenox Square, where he was found at a kiosk with a woman and subsequently arrested.

    Who Is Randarrius Jackson?

Randarrius Jackson, identified by police after reviewing hotel security footage, faces multiple charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and financial transaction card fraud. He allegedly stole more than $5,000 from the victim.

    Public and Community Response

Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant when meeting people online or through dating apps, highlighting the risks of inviting strangers to private locations. The Atlanta Police Department continues to remind residents to report suspicious activity immediately.

Official Statements or What Happens Next
