Detectives are seeking witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Loughborough on Sunday evening, October 12, 2025. The incident took place at a house on Byron Street Extension, where the victim, a woman, was threatened and held down by three masked men.

    What Happened

Around 8:30 p.m., the occupant of the house heard a noise and went to check the hallway. Upon entering, she was confronted by the three masked men who threatened her with a screwdriver. They proceeded to hold her down while stealing jewellery from the house. The suspects are believed to have left the scene in a vehicle, heading towards Derby Road and the town center.

The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment. The incident has left her shaken, and authorities are deeply concerned about the nature of the attack.

    Investigation and Appeal for Information

Detective Sergeant Parm Kang described the incident as “distressing” and emphasized that it was deeply concerning for both the victim and the community. Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area, and the police are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the vicinity of Byron Street Extension around 8:30 p.m. to come forward.

“Did you see or hear anyone or any vehicles in the area around that time?” Sergeant Kang asked. “Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help with our investigation.”

    How to Help

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact 7693 Anita Vaughan at 101 or report via this link, quoting crime number 25*600393.

Please share this information to assist with the investigation and help bring those responsible to justice.
