David’s disappearance has haunted his family and the community since February 10, 2009, and despite numerous efforts, he remains missing.
What Happened to David Fortin?
On the evening of February 9, 2009, David confided in his parents that he had been repeatedly bullied because of his speech impediment and was threatened with a physical beating if he attended school the next day. Though the school had assigned a security guard to watch over him, David’s parents decided he should still attend school, trusting the security measures in place.
However, the next morning, David did not get on his usual school bus. He was last seen leaving his home to catch the bus but never made it to school, and no one has seen him since. David’s family was left devastated by his sudden disappearance.
