What Happened
Around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, Brijette Basden and her sister, Asrael Basden, were traveling on I-40 when they pulled over near Page Road to switch driving duties. Both sisters were standing outside their Ford Fusion, which was partially in the roadway, when a Toyota Camry crashed into them, striking the sisters while they were by the car.
Brijette was tragically killed from her injuries, while Asrael was injured and taken to the hospital. Fortunately, no one else was hurt in the accident. The police are investigating the crash, but no further details have been released about the driver of the Toyota Camry.
