Bristol, UK – October 26, 2025 – Police and family are urgently searching for 18-year-old Callum Dobson, a University of the West of England (UWE) student who has been reported missing after leaving the nightclub CIRCUIT in the Bordeaux Quay area of Bristol in the early hours of Sunday morning. Callum was last seen at around 1 a.m., appearing intoxicated and vulnerable, according to his mother.

    What Happened

According to police and family reports, Callum Dobson was seen exiting CIRCUIT, a popular late-night venue near Bristol’s Harbourside, early Sunday morning. His mother stated that he was alone and “very drunk” at the time, making him especially vulnerable.

Callum was expected to catch a bus back to his university accommodation, but he never boarded it. His personal belongings, including his mobile phone, were later found, intensifying fears for his safety.

Friends and volunteers from UWE have joined the search, retracing his last known movements and appealing to anyone who may have seen him in the Bordeaux Quay or Harbourside area between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m..

    Police Investigation

The Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that officers are conducting enquiries in the area, including a thorough review of CCTV footage and door-to-door checks.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said:

“We are extremely concerned for the welfare of 18-year-old Callum Dobson, who was last seen leaving CIRCUIT nightclub at around 1 a.m. on Sunday. He is believed to have been intoxicated at the time and has not returned home or contacted friends or family.”

Due to a technical fault, the force’s 101 non-emergency number is temporarily unavailable, and residents are being urged to report non-urgent information online using reference number AS-20251026-0367.

Police emphasized that 999 should only be used in emergencies, but they assured the public that emergency response capabilities remain unaffected.

    Family and Community Appeal

Callum’s mother described him as a bright and caring young man, urging anyone who might have seen him to come forward immediately.

“Callum was supposed to get on the bus home, but he never made it. He’s not answering his phone, and it’s been found without him. We’re desperate for any information that can help us find him.”

The University of the West of England has expressed its concern and is working with police to assist the search efforts.

Fellow students have taken to social media, sharing Callum’s photo and last known details using hashtags like #FindCallumDobson and #BristolMissingPerson.

    How to Help

Anyone who may have seen Callum Dobson or has any information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Avon and Somerset Police immediately:

    • Call 101 and quote log 367 of October 26, 2025 (note: the 101 line is currently experiencing outages).
    • Alternatively, report online at https://orlo.uk/PL1W3, quoting reference AS-20251026-0367.
    • In an emergency or if Callum is sighted, dial 999 immediately.
