    Mason, MI | November 2025-The community of Mason, Michigan is mourning the tragic loss of Ethan Lockwood, a beloved 21-year-old whose death has left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Ethan’s passing follows injuries from a recent incident, and the sadness felt by his family, friends, and community is immeasurable. Known for his leadership, compassion, and determination, Ethan’s legacy is one of kindness and unwavering commitment—qualities that made him a cherished figure in both his personal and athletic life.

    A Bright Athlete and Role Model

    Ethan Lockwood was a standout student-athlete at Mason High School, where he was known for his dedication on and off the field. Whether playing baseball or soccer, Ethan’s enthusiasm and positive attitude made him a respected teammate and role model. Coaches and peers admired his skill and sportsmanship, and he became known as the “ideal Bulldog.” His vibrant spirit was contagious, always motivating those around him to give their best and work together as a team.

    A Leader and Servant to His Community

    After graduating in 2022, Ethan continued his journey at Olivet College, where he excelled both academically and socially. He was committed to his studies and to making meaningful connections with those around him. Ethan also served his country, demonstrating the same sense of duty and integrity that had guided him in all aspects of his life.

    Family and friends describe Ethan as a natural leader, someone who always put others first. He was known for his selflessness, always making sure that those around him felt valued and cared for. His genuine concern for others made him not just a respected teammate but a loyal and supportive friend.

    A Legacy of Compassion and Strength

    Ethan’s legacy is one of resilience, generosity, and the countless lives he touched. His influence will be remembered by his teammates, classmates, and everyone in his community. Though his time with us was far too short, Ethan’s memory lives on through the stories shared by those who knew him and through the acts of kindness that continue in his honor.

    The Mason community, where Ethan was an integral part, continues to celebrate his life. Whether through charitable acts, sportsmanship, or simply by carrying on his spirit of helping others, Ethan’s impact endures.
