    Hardin County, TX Mourns the Loss of U.S. Postal Worker Chace Soignet in Fatal Accident

    KOUNTZE, TX — The Hardin County community is mourning the untimely death of 26-year-old Chace Soignet from Warren, Texas, who tragically passed away in a serious accident on Tuesday afternoon, November 11, 2025. Soignet, a dedicated worker for the U.S. Postal Service, was involved in a collision at the junction of U.S. Highway 69 and State Highway 327 in Kountze at approximately 4:30 p.m..

    Details of the Incident

    According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Soignet was operating a U.S. Postal Service vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 327 when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. Highway 69. The postal vehicle then collided with a northbound Ford F-350, which was towing a lowboy trailer. The impact of the collision was severe, and emergency services from DPS, Hardin County EMS, and the Kountze Fire Department responded promptly to the scene.

    Soignet was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, where he was declared dead due to his injuries. The tragic accident has left both Kountze and Warren in deep grief, as Soignet was known for his commitment to his job and his genuine care for those around him.
