We pause to remember Lance Corporal James Bray Stack, a dedicated Marine who gave his life in service to his country. James’ legacy extends far beyond his military service; it is reflected in the character, strength, and passion he showed in every aspect of his life.

    Early Life and Achievements:

James was a remarkable young man who excelled in a variety of pursuits. During his high school years, he demonstrated talent and commitment in soccer, track, and competitive shooting. His achievements in the latter were particularly notable, as he earned a gold medal at the 2008 Junior Olympics for air pistol, a testament to his precision and dedication.

    Military Service:

In 2009, James enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, eager to serve his country and follow in the footsteps of those who had come before him. Assigned to the 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force based at Camp Pendleton, California, James quickly distinguished himself as a talented and committed Marine.

    The Ultimate Sacrifice:

In the fall of 2010, James was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. He had only been in country for a month when, on November 10, 2010, tragedy struck. While on patrol in Helmand province during combat operations, Lance Corporal James Bray Stack was killed in action. His sacrifice serves as a somber reminder of the cost of freedom and the bravery of those who defend it.

    Legacy:

James Stack was more than just a Marine; he was a devout Christian, a dedicated marksman, and a loving husband and father. He leaves behind his wife Katie and their young daughter, Mikayla, who will forever carry his memory and honor his service.

    A Hero Remembered:

Lance Corporal James Bray Stack’s legacy will continue to inspire. His life was one of purpose, sacrifice, and devotion to his country and family. He will forever be remembered by those who knew him and by the countless lives he touched, including his brothers and sisters in arms.

God bless this Marine forever. Semper Fi, hero. Your courage, strength, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
