MSGT Bass was a well-liked employee at NCHS, as evidenced by this district-released video that shows his commitment to JROTC students.”He was an exceptional teacher and colleague,” the Crowley ISD said in a statement. “…and he had an impact on innumerable staff members and students’ lives.
Around 2:25 p.m. on Friday, MSGT Bass was shot and murdered in the 4400 block of Chesapeake Bay Drive in Fort Worth. He was found dead in a front yard with what appeared to be upper body gunshot wounds, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
Police reported on Friday that medical staff had tried, but not been successful, in preserving lives.
In a Saturday update, Fort Worth police stated that the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office apprehended the suspect—a family member of the shooting victim—at a Valdosta, Georgia, residence without any problems.
The perpetrator allegedly drove up to the house, opened fire on the victim many times, and then left. This information was supplied by the FWPD.
