Taylor Guyer Death, Obituary, Motorcycle Accident – Delaware State Police have identified a 26-year-old Pennsylvania man, Taylor Guyer, who tragically died on Sunday morning after crashing his motorcycle on Interstate 95 near New Castle, Delaware. The incident occurred on the southbound side of the highway, close to Basin Road, and police were alerted to the scene just after 8:30 a.m.
Details of the Incident
According to authorities, Guyer was driving a Honda motorcycle and had been riding with a group of fellow bikers before the accident occurred. At one point, he accelerated to catch up with the group and then passed them “at a high rate of speed,” according to the police report. Shortly after passing the group, Guyer’s motorcycle experienced mechanical issues.
Cause of the Crash
Police have stated that the back tire of Guyer’s motorcycle locked, which caused the bike to skid uncontrollably. As a result, the motorcycle fell over and slid to the right side of the interstate. Unfortunately, Guyer succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Investigation Ongoing
The Delaware State Police are continuing their investigation into the accident to determine the precise cause. No other vehicles were involved, and it appears that the mechanical failure of the motorcycle’s back tire played a significant role in the tragic crash.
