Authorities in New Jersey are looking into the death of a man who was discovered earlier this month on a conveyor belt at a recycling facility. On September 4, while sifting materials, workers at a Republic Services recycling facility in Farmingdale reported spotting the remnants.
Nicholas Holsten, 35, was the victim who passed away, according to New Jersey police. The circumstances that led to Holsten’s body being on the conveyor belt are still unknown to investigators. While the investigation is still ongoing, law enforcement is making great efforts to gather additional data.
According to a Republic Services representative, Holsten wasn’t a worker at the establishment. Holsten was originally from New Brunswick and will be much missed by everybody who knew him, according to friends and family who have expressed their sorrow over their loss.
As the investigation continues, police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in determining the facts of this tragic incident.
