An Oklahoma City man who was shot and killed this past weekend worked as a production assistant for the well-known podcast “I’ve Had It.”
According to reports, Javier Morales Jr. was a diligent worker who brought joy to everyone around him. According to an Instagram post from the Nichols Hills-based podcast, “Javi” was also always on time for work and played a significant role in the lives of the hosts.
“Javi is one of those individuals who exudes brightness. Jennifer Welch, co-host of “I’ve Had It,” stated, “He’s just a bright light to be around, and it’s just horrible to be here without him here.”
Javi, a son, brother, and grandchild who epitomized work ethic, was very close to Welch and the other podcast contributors
“To meet someone on Friday, spend the entire day working with them, bid them farewell, and wish them a happy weekend—and then learn on Sunday that they were killed on Saturday night.” Reconcilation is difficult. Your brain has a hard time creating that,” Welch remarked.
His contributions to the podcast as a production assistant extended much beyond the final product that was broadcast.
“He never worried about the little things. Never. He wasn’t a petty individual. He never had jealousy, envy, or any of those trivial feelings that we sometimes experience,” Welch remarked. “Javi used to take my son to basketball practice and watch his games before he was old enough to drive. He truly belonged to our family.
The goal of the charity group LiveFree OKC is to stop gun violence in Oklahoma City. Javier Morales Sr., Javi’s father, is employed with that organization.
The family is currently in mourning after losing their son to the same gun violence they work to stop.
According to LiveFree OKC’s Jabee Williams, “our job right now is just to rally around him and be there for him and his family as much as we can and continue to love on him.” “His main goal has been to effectively assist those enmeshed in this type of violence and to truly see a change in our community, and that is what he has been doing.
