It is with great sadness that the Johnson and Russell families share the news of the passing of Sylvia Johnson, who was a treasured member of the Hogansville High School Class of 1976! Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her will carry her legacy and memories with them forever.
The closure of the arrangements is being handled by Gus Thornhill’s Funeral Home in East Point, Georgia. On Friday, October 18th, there will be a viewing for the general public, and then shortly after that, on Saturday, October 19th, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a homegoing service. Located at 2651 North Church Street in East Point, Georgia, the East Point First Mallalieu United Methodist Church will be the location of the service.
”Sincerest condolences to Johnson/Russell family; Sylvia was such a sweetheart, she never raised your voice and ALWAYS had a way of keeping things real and in perspective! She was such a jewel from playing with dolls at her granny’s house to doing homework and special projects for school.
