A 2015 graduate of West Brunswick High School, Angie embraced a variety of interests and activities. She was an active member of the school’s flag corps and ROTC, showing her dedication to teamwork and service from a young age. Her love for sports began early, with her involvement in softball and cheerleading. Angie went on to serve her country proudly in the Marine Corps, inspired by both her parents’ service, with her mother being her truest role model. Friends and family remember her as a beacon of sweetness and joy, always eager to share laughter and make memories.
Music was central to Angie’s life, reflecting her dynamic and vibrant personality. She found happiness in attending concerts, singing her favorite songs, and dancing the night away. Her love for animals was profound, especially her special fondness for horses. Angie shared a deep bond with her dog, Grizzly, often enjoying serene walks on the beach together.
Those closest to Angie admired her knack for giving thoughtful gifts and writing cards filled with heartfelt sincerity. She had a distinctive style, favoring red lipstick, sparkly high heels, and her beautiful, long, curly blonde hair. Her captivating light blue eyes and deep dimples lit up each time she smiled, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Beyond her appearance and her passions, Angie’s spirit shone in her love for life’s simple pleasures. Whether gathered around a fire at night, playing games with her family, or exploring the outdoors through kayaking and camping, Angie found joy and freedom in nature. Her partner, David Camarena, and his family were also a significant part of her life, with Angie’s love deeply enriching all her relationships.
A funeral service honoring Angie’s life will be held on October 31, 2024, at Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Angie will be laid to rest in Brunswick Memorial Gardens, where she will receive military honors.
