Martha Anne Overholser MISSING; – Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in their efforts to locate a woman who went missing at the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park last week.
Search teams are actively looking for 66-year-old Martha Anne Overholser. She failed to return to a commercial bus tour on Tuesday, December 10, and was last observed at Mather Point, which is situated near the park’s southern entrance.
Officials suspect that she may have walked westward from that location towards Bright Angel Lodge or Hermit’s Rest. Overholser is described as standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a long off-white coat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and was in possession of a navy blue bag. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is encouraged to contact the National Park Service at 888-653-0009.
