In a statement posted on Facebook, Mission Aviation Fellowship Australia expressed its profound sadness over the loss of one of its pilots, Chris Coffee, who died in a road accident in Arnhem Land on Wednesday morning.
Chris’s car was in a head-on collision as he was on his way to Gove Airport.
In addition to flying, Chris served as Deputy Director when he joined the MAF Australia Arnhem Land team in May 2023. Alison, his wife, and their three small children are left behind.
Chris had a strong desire to help the people of Arnhem Land and spread the love of Jesus. The Arnhem Land team and the international MAF family are very saddened by this loss. Knowing that Chris survived gives us peace of mind.
