Dave Fuzzy Shut; Obituary, Death: It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Dave “Fuzzy” Shut, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on December 19, 2024, and passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 59. Dave was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose love and presence will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
Dave was born in Michigan and spent his entire life in Macomb County, where he built a strong, loving family and a network of loyal friends. He was known for his warm heart, infectious laugh, and his genuine kindness. Whether he was lending a hand to a friend or making those around him smile, Dave had a way of bringing light into every room he entered.
His family, especially, was the most important thing in his life, and he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to those he loved. Dave shared 35 wonderful years of love and partnership with his wife, our mama. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and memories that will live on forever. Through the highs and lows, Dave and his wife stood by each other’s side, proving that love and commitment can withstand the test of time.
Dave is survived by his three adult children, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit with them. His kids were the pride of his life, and he often spoke of them with the utmost love and admiration. Dave’s legacy will live on through them and their families, as they continue to carry forward the lessons he taught them about kindness, loyalty, and the importance of family.
Dave was also a proud and loving grandfather to his beautiful grandson, who was his best buddy. The bond between grandfather and grandson was one that brought Dave so much joy, and he cherished every moment spent with him.
