28-year-old motorcyclist, Dakotah Horner, tragically lost his life in a fatal motorcycle accident early Sunday morning, January 26th, 2025, near Weirsdale, Florida.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of SE 175th Street and SE 155th Avenue, in close proximity to Hammock Pond.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Horner was riding his motorcycle when he veered off the roadway and onto the grassy shoulder.
This loss was compounded by the fact that the motorcycle overturned during the incident, ultimately causing Horner to succumb to his injuries despite efforts to assist at the scene.

However, for reasons still under investigation, the 28-year-old veered off the road and onto the grass shoulder, which resulted in his motorcycle flipping over. The crash caused Horner to sustain injuries that ultimately led to his untimely death.
Although emergency medical teams were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident, Horner’s injuries were too severe to be mitigated, and he passed away at the crash site.
