Thomas Williams,Torrionda Taylor Obituary, Death;- The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a man from Greenville has been charged in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of three individuals in Cross earlier this month.
Leroy Alexander Witherspoon Jr., aged 67, faces three counts of murder, along with charges for possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon, as stated by Cpl. Carli Carr.
These charges are linked to the shooting that occurred on January 20 at a residence on Poplar Hill Drive in the Cross area of Berkeley County. The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Thomas Williams, 56, from Ridgeville; Torrionda Taylor, 46, from Cross; and Marsena Moore, 55, from Summerville.
“The tragic loss of three lives in this manner is appalling. Despite the significant demands placed on our detectives recently, they devoted extensive hours to thoroughly investigate this triple homicide,” remarked Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis. “We are steadfast in our commitment to ensuring that those responsible are held accountable, and I commend the relentless efforts of our team in pursuing justice for the victims.
