Justin Golden Arrested;- The 8-month-old infant who tragically lost his life in Jacksonville on Saturday has been identified as Pablo Kye Golden. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Pablo was fatally injured when he was placed on the roadway and subsequently struck by a vehicle on the Westside of the city.
His maternal grandmother shared with First Coast News that she affectionately referred to him as her “Little Man.” In her statement, she expressed, “Pablo adored his mother, father, big brother Reign, and his entire family. He had a remarkable ability to light up a room with his large, expressive eyes and radiant smile. He enjoyed playing with his big brother and his three-year-old cousin. Having just learned to crawl, Pablo was a joyful baby who brought happiness even in the saddest of times, and he will be deeply missed.
The family is currently seeking donations to cover his funeral expenses. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested 20-year-old Justin Golden on charges including vehicular homicide, failure to render aid, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, as announced on Saturday evening.
As reported by JSO, an argument between Golden and a female passenger occurred near the intersection of McDuff and Lenox avenues around 10:40 a.m. The 8-month-old child was also in the vehicle. When the car halted at the intersection, Golden reportedly opened the door and placed the child on the ground.
As he drove away, the vehicle struck the child, according to JSO. Emergency responders from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene, but the child was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at a nearby hospital. Golden was taken into custody and booked into the Duval County Jail at 6:22 p.m.
