    Pimicikamak Cree Nation, Manitoba – The search for 37-year-old Geoffrey Kolomaya has come to a heartbreaking end. Authorities confirmed that Geoffrey, who had been reported missing earlier this month, was located deceased on August 27, 2025.

    Family, friends, and community members are mourning the devastating loss and asking for prayers during this difficult time.

    What Happened

    Geoffrey Kolomaya was last seen by family on August 4, 2025, and was last spotted in the community on August 10, 2025. He had been reported missing from Pimicikamak Cree Nation, prompting a widespread search effort. Sadly, the Cross Lake RCMP confirmed on August 27, 2025, that Geoffrey had been located deceased.

    No further details regarding the circumstances of his death have been released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.

    Who Was Geoffrey Kolomaya

    Geoffrey Kolomaya was a 37-year-old Indigenous man from Pimicikamak Cree Nation, Manitoba. He stood 5’9” tall, weighed approximately 180 pounds, and had very short black hair with brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, Geoffrey was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, a green and brown graphic t-shirt, a hat, and black steel-toe work boots.

    He was known in his community as a loved and valued member, and his sudden passing has left family and friends devastated.
