It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of John Mansour, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and man of deep faith. John passed away on September 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy defined by kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to justice.
John, aged 57, was a law student at Wayne State University, where he was known not only for his academic dedication but also for the warmth and compassion he extended to everyone around him. His passion for justice and desire to make a meaningful difference in his community was evident in all his endeavors. The Wayne State University community, along with family and friends, mourns the loss of a remarkable individual whose spirit inspired many.
Born to Emanuel and Antoinette Mansour, John’s life was deeply rooted in faith and family. He was a loving husband to his wife Ann “Ahlam” Mansour and a devoted father to his cherished daughter Adriana. John’s love also extended beyond this life, as he is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved children, Alexander and Gabrielle. He will be remembered fondly for his generosity, steadfast faith, and the strength he showed throughout his illness.
John’s dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a pillar of support and a source of inspiration to those who knew him. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and faith—values that will continue to resonate deeply with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
