    Ralph Deslauriers, the visionary founder of Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont, has passed away at the age of 90. A pioneer in the state’s ski industry, Deslauriers’ legacy lives on through his transformative impact on winter sports, his dedication to small businesses, and his deep connection to the local community.

    Ralph Deslauriers made an indelible mark on Vermont’s ski industry when he co-founded Bolton Valley Resort with his father in 1966.     In 1997, Deslauriers sold the resort but returned in 2017 to purchase it back alongside local investors. This time, he ran the resort with his children—Lindsay, Evan, and Adam—preserving the resort’s independent spirit and turning it into one of the last independently owned mountains in the state.
