Nashville, Tennessee — Amare Ramey, 20, has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide following the fatal shooting of his 17-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Amya Finney, on Sunday morning. The tragic incident took place at Ramey’s home on Bixler Avenue in Madison.

    What Happened

The events unfolded when Amya Finney called her mother, requesting to be picked up from Ramey’s home after an argument broke out between the couple. The call abruptly ended, and shortly after, dispatchers received a hang-up 911 call from the same area. When police arrived, they found Finney in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

She was rushed to Skyline Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Investigators said that during questioning, Ramey admitted to handling the gun when it discharged, stating that Finney was two months pregnant with his child at the time of the shooting.

    Who Is Amare Ramey?

Amare Ramey, 20, is currently facing serious charges in connection with the death of Amya Finney and their unborn child. Despite no documented history of domestic violence between the couple, the shooting occurred during an argument, and Ramey later turned himself in to police.

Ramey has a prior criminal history, having been arrested for charges including aggravated burglary, carjacking, and aggravated assault. Earlier this year, he was sentenced to four years of supervised probation in June.

    Public and Social Media Reactions

The news of Finney’s tragic death has drawn widespread shock and condemnation. Social media users and local communities have expressed outrage over the senseless loss of life, particularly as Finney was pregnant at the time of her death.

Official Statements or What Happens Next

Ramey is currently being held at the Davidson County Jail on a $1 million bond. He is expected to face further legal proceedings as the case progresses. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to piece together further details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.

    Closing Line

This story may be updated as more information becomes available regarding the charges and investigation surrounding the death of Amya Finney.
