    AMBER Alert Update: Missing Child Found Safe, Suspect Still at Large in Fatal Shooting Incident

    An AMBER Alert issued earlier today has been resolved with the safe recovery of 1-year-old Skyla-Rose Deschepper. However, the suspect, Anthony Deschepper, remains on the run and is considered armed and dangerous in connection with a fatal shooting. Authorities have issued a shelter-in-place order for residents in Fort Erie and Crystal Beach areas.

    What Happened

    At 6:45 PM, Niagara Regional Police confirmed that the missing child, Skyla-Rose Deschepper, has been located safely following the AMBER Alert issued earlier today. However, the suspect, Anthony Deschepper, remains at large and is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting. A shelter-in-place order has been issued for Fort Erie and Crystal Beach (including Prospect Point and Ridgeway Road) where the suspect may have been recently seen.

    The suspect, Anthony Deschepper, is 38 years old, a white male, 5’9” (175 cm), 82 kg (181 lbs), with brown hair. He is believed to be driving a black 2024 Nissan Kicks with Quebec license plate FRV 4520.

    Authorities urge the public not to approach the suspect or his vehicle if spotted. Instead, call 911 immediately. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and law enforcement is working diligently to locate him.
