The Greenwood, Arkansas community is mourning the loss of Dale Armstrong Taylor, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on December 28, 1935, in Brownsville, Arkansas, Dale lived a full and meaningful life centered around faith, family, and hard work.

    Life and Legacy

Dale proudly served in the Army National Guard, where he dedicated himself to his country with integrity and honor. Following his military service, he built a successful career at Ace Comb Company, working as a product manager until his retirement. Dale’s strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail earned him respect among his colleagues and fostered lasting friendships throughout his career.

Outside of work, Dale was a pillar of his community, deeply committed to his family, church, and the people around him. He was a faithful member of Union Hope Baptist Church in the Tate community, where he regularly attended services and participated in church activities. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, inspiring his actions and interactions with others.

Dale had a passion for simple pleasures, finding joy in gardening, yard work, and woodworking. He spent countless hours cultivating his garden, tending to his yard, and creating wooden pieces with care and craftsmanship. His friends and family will always remember his gentle spirit, kind smile, and the pride he took in all his endeavors.

    Family and Survivors

Dale is preceded in death by his first wife, Elnor Taylor; his second wife, Norma Taylor; his son, Kerwin Taylor; his parents, Guy and Beulah Taylor; his sister, Gail Corley; and his great-granddaughter, Brooke Taylor Bishop. Their memories continue to live on through the family he so deeply cherished.

Dale’s legacy endures through his son, Craig Taylor (Sheri) of Booneville, Arkansas; his stepson, Paul Burke of Michigan; his stepdaughter, Debra Simpkins; his grandchildren: Tara Halterman (Ryan), Bryan Taylor (Ashlee), Zachary Taylor (Lindsey), Nathan Burke, Anna Burke, and Devan Simpkins; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

    Funeral Services

A funeral service for Dale Armstrong Taylor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, at Roberts Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for the service will include Bryan Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Bryson Taylor, Ryan Bishop, Ryan Halterman, and Devan Simpkins, all of whom will honor a man whose life was defined by love, humility, and unwavering kindness.

    Closing

Though Dale Taylor is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to live on through his family, friends, and the legacy of love, faith, and service he leaves behind. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, and his contributions to his family and community will never be forgotten.
