It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sergeant Ebony Winn, who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Her death leaves a deep void not only in our department but also in the hearts of her family, friends, and colleagues.

A Life of Service and Dedication

Sergeant Ebony Winn was more than just a respected member of our law enforcement community; she was a pillar of strength, compassion, and integrity. Joining the Coral Springs Police Department in 2008, Ebony dedicated over a decade of her life to serving and protecting our community. Throughout her career, she embodied the values of honor, duty, and selflessness, putting others’ needs before her own, and always offering a helping hand.

Her colleagues frequently turned to her for guidance and support, and she earned a reputation as a mentor and a friend. Ebony’s ability to make a difference, both professionally and personally, is what set her apart and made her a beloved figure within our department.

A Loving Family Member and Friend

Outside of her professional role, Sergeant Ebony Winn was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend. Her family meant the world to her, and she always found ways to balance the demanding nature of her job with her devotion to them. Whether at work or at home, Ebony’s warmth, laughter, and strong sense of community made her an invaluable part of everyone’s life.

Her absence will be felt profoundly by those who had the privilege of knowing her. In times of personal and professional challenges, Ebony was the steady presence that everyone could count on, offering wisdom, humor, and care.

    A Lasting Legacy

While we mourn the loss of Sergeant Ebony Winn, we also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Her legacy is defined not only by her service but also by the relationships she built, the lives she touched, and the unwavering commitment to her work that she exemplified every day. Ebony’s impact on our department and the community will continue to resonate, and her example will inspire others to carry forward the values of integrity, service, and care.

    Condolences and Services

We extend our deepest condolences to Ebony’s family during this difficult time. We also mourn alongside her colleagues who had the privilege of working with her and who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Further details about Sergeant Ebony Winn’s services and arrangements will be shared as they become available.

May Ebony rest in peace, knowing that her legacy of service and kindness will never be forgotten.
