    It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Julia Gail Zabiela of Les Cotils, a cherished soul whose life touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Julia faced a short illness with remarkable courage and dignity, inspiring those around her with her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Though her time with us was cut tragically short, the impact of her kindness, warmth, and compassion will be felt forever.

    Julia Gail Zabiela, aged 59, passed away peacefully at Les Bourgs Hospice on 26 November 2025, after a short but bravely fought illness. Julia’s passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the entire Les Cotils and Guernsey community. Her courage throughout her illness, paired with her lifelong generosity and grace, leaves behind a powerful testament to her character and the love she shared with those around her.

    Who Was Julia Gail Zabiela?

    Julia was more than a resident of Les Cotils—she was a beacon of light, comfort, and compassion to everyone she met. Known for her gentle nature and generous heart, Julia consistently went out of her way to support others, offering her time, love, and wisdom without hesitation. Her ability to bring warmth to any room, to listen with patience, and to treat everyone with sincerity made her beloved by many.

    To her family, Julia was a devoted and loving presence. She nurtured her relationships with care, patience, and unwavering dedication. Her laughter, guidance, and loving spirit created cherished memories that will endure for generations. Julia’s love was deep and enduring—felt in her role as a wife, mother, stepmother, daughter, sister, godmother, aunt, and friend.

    ⏰ 2:00 p.m.
    ✨ Everyone who knew Julia is welcome. The family kindly requests no black attire, as this service will honor her spirit with warmth and color.

    Family flowers only, please. Donations in Julia’s memory may be sent to:

    Andrew Mitchell House
    Rue du Tertre
    St Andrew GY6 8SF

    A private cremation will be held by the family.
